The Great White North, finally! 18/12/2011
Canada, the country I've wanted to visit for a very long time now and I finally made it there, and it didn't disappoint! It was a work funded event so in reality I didn't get to see very much, but every now and then we were allow out. I stayed in Montreal and for once the lack of English was a welcome surprise when travelling. Unfortunately I didn't get much in the way of photos and for the few days, the only photo I'd taken was the one below (from my hotel room), which is a nice view but there's no point travelling to the other side of the planet just to look out the window. One the last day of the conference I finally managed to venture out with the help of a friend and got to see a lot more of Montreal, and certainly a lot more than what was out my hotel window and the local pubs. And yes it was very cold (below zero), maybe not for the locals but certainly for an Australian coming from summer... Add Comment Photos? What Photos? 13/12/2011
So I've just noticed that the links to individual albums isn't working on the Photos page. I had moved the web albums to Google+ temporary which seems to have broken all the album links. I'll regenerate the links and update the links over the next few weeks Easter 2011 25/09/2011
This year for Easter the kids went in The Eggsellent Race, where they had to follow clues in order to find their eggs. When they've solved the clue they would be rewarded with an egg. The race was created by Kath and Mikayla and just in case it's not obvious, it was modeled on Hey we're back! 25/09/2011
Yes it's been a very long time. It's also been a crazy year with very little time on our hands. Not that things have changed in a hurry but at least we're slowly getting back on our feet. So why have I put a picture of the Chicken Coop on the web, well this was one of my little projects that I've been working on over time. It started when the old coop, well just fell apart, so we thought it time to build a new one. After spending way too much time planning it, forgetting what I planned then planing it again I finally built something along with the help of the family. What we have today you can see above and we're quite proud of it. It's a very sturdy coop Neglect 21/04/2011
Well it looks like we've been neglecting the blog again... this year has been off to a cracking start, we're all very busy and haven't had much time to ourselves, not to mention the worst summer I've ever seen with all the floods. We'll try and update the blog soon though. Happy Birthday Bryce 04/01/2011
Our boy turned 13 recently! Although I wouldn't call him a boy anymore... He's almost taller than I am now and certainly eats a lot more, he finished 2010 with excellent school results and goes into high school this year. We're very proud of him. Happy birthday Bryce! Christmas Day 3 04/01/2011
There's no better way to start off your 3rd day of Christmas than with dodgy Uncle Joe... We have a few more guests over on the 3rd day of Christmas than any other day, it makes for an interesting day but it seems that everyone had fun this year. Merry Christmas everyone! Christmas Day - Take 2 04/01/2011
Eventually we got up (yes, we went back to bed and made the kids wait a little longer...) and brought joy to the kids by letting them open their presents. They scored big this year! And this was just the start of it. We seem to be missing pictures of the guests we had over on Christmas Day 2, when I find them I'll post them up. Christmas Day 04/01/2011
Christmas Eve 04/01/2011
It's that time of year again, our 3 day Christmas starts on Christmas Eve and we had our good family friends over. The kids always look forward to this event, probably because they get extra presents, but as you can see a little sugar make them a little... well, you get the picture :-) | Search the Web
